Digicel rumored to leave Jamaica after Police Raid Head Office.

Last Friday May 4th, Jamaican police along with agents of the Tax Administration swarmed down on Digicel’s offices to execute a search warrant.

The TAJ stated that the objective of their mission was to ensure that the GCT paid by Digicel customers was being paid over in full to the tax authorities.

The TAJ’s operation was aborted however as Digicel received a stay of execution from a High Court Judge.

Digicel denies any wrong doing, and accesses the TAJ of going out on a witch hunt.

It is rumored that Mark Linehan, Digicel’s C.E.O may move Digicel’s headquarters from Jamaica to Haiti or Miami.
